Frequently Asked Questions

Why the name Random Hue?
I don't even know how to answer this question, but I'll try. My friends at school asked me the same question, but I don't even think I gave them a straight answer. Sometimes my art gets a bit random and even the colors my be a bit wierd, but that is also my style. But I think because of this I chose random hue. (Of course like I previously said I'm not even sure why. Hah.)
What was this site created for?
Originally it is for a project for my communication class and the goal was to create a website and since I already had Kodoku Designs, I had to create a new site. For a long time before I really wanted to have another domain/site that I might want to use for hosting or just be a collective of sorts. This project was actually an excuse to fulfill this goal. So now this site will become my collective and sometiems in the future I will also include hosting.
What mediums do you use?
I do a variety, sometimes I like to paint, or use charcoal, maybe even use pastels. I also digitally do my art and just use pencil. Pretty much anything basically.
Why are most of your art done on hte computer?
Well for me art supplies are a bit expensive, so the least expensive is to just use photoshop most of the time, but if I decide that using paint or something else would make the art look better than I usually go for it.
Can I use your art for myself/use them in creating layouts?
No. Sorry, but I just don't like it if you use my art for anything except for viewing on my site.
How long have you been into making art?
Ever since I was little I really liked drawing and just making art, going to the library and borrowing a 'How to draw ____' book. But I think it wasn't until 4th grade where I actually really tried to improve in my art, well that was the grade where I stopped drawing stick figures. I started off just trying to copy the anime images I find in my manga or in my anime magazines, but around 5-6th grade I started creating art without copying and just draw whatever comes up in my head. Till this day, when I try to copy something, my art always comes up looking worst then what I create with my own mind, which is a bit bad when it comes down to me drawing a landscape in front of me or doing a self portrait, but I'm still practicing to get better.
Did you take art class?
Yes. Art class taught me some better techniques to go about at the art I do, but I really didn't take art class until 9th grade. 7th grade I did take an art class but I thougt it wasn't helpful at all except provide me with supplies because all my class did was sketch and play with oil pastels. Starting 9th grade I started learing how to use charcoal, paint, pastel art, etc. So I'm really grateful for my high school's art programs.
